A band geek or band nerd is a student who is heavily involved in marching band and/or concert band. The terms are sometimes used to describe any student who plays an instrument and is in a band class (including students in the orchestra), or those who play an instrument outside of school, as long as it's an instrument typically found in a concert band or orchestra. Orch dock is a variation of this term that is applied specifically to members of school orchestras. (abstracted from Wikipedia).

And i'll jolly well make sure THIS BAND GEEK HERE WILL EARN MORE THAN YOU IN THE FUTURE!

NYW (National Youth Winds) was an awesome experience!
probably working with people younger than me :(
and of course, Maestro Jan van der Roost was awesome!
but they're all generally high in energy and with much potential...

The NYW Tubas

(L-R) Xing hao, Justin, Reiko, Jun Chong and myself

ourselves with Maestro Jan van der Roost!

That's about it!
hope to see them soon, and all the best in their music makings!

Sat, another round of SCH...with the German saxophone group, Tubinger ensemble...

what are family and friends?
i don't know.

i still don't know why do i concern my friends that much?
please let me come to some realization...
perhaps i should stop being 'kapo' or such...

family?
don't even talk about it...... its nothing when there' no communication and trust.
so don't talk to me about family, i detest it.

and now,
i'm just left with myself and music.
thanks all.

Alright, 'Ensembles!' is done but the turn out was kinda expected.
But overall, all the ensembles did great!

Been real busy currently, with all rehearsals and FYP.
the holidays are totally packed.
10 June: perf for RP PBL Symposium
13 June: RPWS Viva la Symphonie lll
20 June: NYW with Jan van der Roost
27 June: SWS with Tubinger Sax ensemble from Germany

if possible, do support some of these events..
would be greatly appreciated!

Finally, ensemble concert would be in 2 days time,
and i'm still like unprepared...
well, i'm just hoping it end fast, really fast.
so be it, if its gonna chui or what, shan't bother much...

so its gonna be 2 weeks holidays...
not much really, maybe just relax from the normal school days..
but FYP and rehearsals are still going on, which are really energy draining.
next month gonna chiong, 1 concert per week for 2 weeks.
i hope can relax abit first before i chiong, maybe KL for MPO Mahler 6 (zuan suggest), fishing, beer or supper?

haha, sometimes i wonder...
why should i concern a friend to a great extend?
its like we're not even that close or such...
why would i worry for a friend and concern so much?
i really don't know why? would someone enlighten me or something?

there goes my fishing trip at kelong...
it was rather a much looking forward to one thou, and really disappointing.

and i was rather pissed with my mum about it.
but after a day of reflection at home (which i never attend school), i think its not her fault to blame also.
i knew her intention was good, but sometimes i'll need to relax and get a life from those stressful events from school etc also.

well, i do apologize for the hush use of words also.
but who know when one is angry for the moment and never think about the consequences or otherwise.
like yesterday, i was so pissed that i kick a cup of water over the table, sleep without changing my clothes (with boxers), and did not off my comp and router so that i could waste their money.

in the end, woke up in 2 plus without attending school.
and have hotplate lamb chop with ian, aldwyn, beiyi and YY.

supper with law wei and ian later...

yesterday's NAFA recital was awesome!
i guess all the players did gave their best and well done all!

just some random crazy thought that i'll need to jot it down, before i forgot when i woke up in the morning. heh.
1. including vocals and string works in my teaching/playing. hopefully i can better understand them better.
2. Do up a small (really small) recital for the principal players of RPWS.
This idea came about just now, when i was thinking about the CSO Principals play concertos.
So it gonna be a very small event (mostly cater for RPWS), like etc book a pract room with the piano and a few chairs will do.
The idea also came about to show what the Principal players are capable of. (guess, we just doesn't earn that name easy, you've gonna be something!)

so yeah, will gather some feedbacks from people, and will see how :)
